| So um, I'm kind of perplexed by the lack of mention these spontaneous worldwide protests that got sweeping press coverage on this board, particularly given the vile corporate structure of the CoS, and the co-opted Thelemic principles the whole thing is founded upon (and perhaps the use of a mask featured in a comic book we are probably all very familiar with). But, I suppose I just wanted to ask what the general buzz is about this whole thing, either in terms of the whole reasoning behind it, or perhaps taking a step back and studying the sociological dynamics going on with this kind of event, because frankly, its not an everyday occurrence that something this decentralized and this leaderless and even ideology-less occurs on a global scale. So, with that, I'll throw it out there, and perhaps throw in some comments further on down. Oh, and of course, there are further protests planned for 2/24 and 3/15, so for anyone who is just finding out about it, you most certainly have not missed the boat. |
