Rereading threads from the Comics Forum, which is educational. New admiration for Boboss, reminders here and there of posters that didn't go away but just changes handels, and I miss miss wonderstarr. That really is the forum that brought me here, even if it's definitely the lateshifts that keep me around.

Ive never been a big comics fan. Except for the Punisher back in Highschool (not the name of the comic) and Alpha Flight when I was younger than that. Now adays its mostly Fallen Angel and what ever "You have to see this!' issue my friend shoves into my hand.

Y'know how sometimes longtime posters get roles, either by taking them on or being defaulted by others? So there's a poster whom you can always count on being asked to join a conversation when somebody needs parental approval, or the poster who's set themselves up to be the trixta jokester? The brutal hard corrector of injustice or the all-we-need-is-love apologist? Well, I think I've found my role. I post things I think the bulk of everybody will agree with, and it somehow becomes instantly and unintentionally contentious, even when the bulk of everybody's still agreeing with me.

Barbelith should eventually have a catching up with the cast retrospective special. Special guests Ganesh and paranoid writer. Or, maybe that's just the whisky and caffeine hitting me.

I'd like to see a bit of the weird off-board goings on that probably then can clearly be detected in the weft of threads. Like these two posters are off having a romance while hardly ever posting in the same threads, or these posters over here are having a big ol' feud over Transformers or something but in the flesh and blood world they actually all share a flat and the feud's secretly about the terrible thing that was left in the blender last Wed. after a bender.
