The charity I work for has put in a People's Millions bid for a community project to make our local park safer and accessible to all the community, with specific focus on children with additional needs. If we win the vote we will be awarded 100,000 pounds to create an area in the park which will directly focus on these children and which the whole community will benefit from. There will be a sensory garden and special play equipment, facilities for families and access for school groups. It would be amazing to win.
To win we need people to vote, the number is call is 08702 433 301 and you can vote until midnight tonight.
You can see the different projects on ITV central at 6pm this evening.
Every child who has extra needs. Autistic, severely handicapped, behavioural problems, home problems like coming from a very underpriviledged area, blind, deaf... Heaps of things. We're trying to be inclusive, rather than exclusive.
Sounds like an awesome organization! For myself and others overseas, is there a possibility of being able to help with the votes, or is it strictly for those in the UK?
