i thought he could do - i guess he had already done - production design for WATERWORLD or even a shelved MAD MAX sequel. well, this rumour is doing the rounds:

[...]George Miller will now be working on this concurrently with the Justice League of America movie as well.

Considering that you really can't trust anything that comes from Moviehole.net, for now we're going to consider this just a rumor. Mad Max 4: Fury Road is based on a script from British comic book artist/writer Brendan McCarthy. Unfortunately Mel Gibson won't be back, but hopefully that will allow for a newer, fresher face to fulfill the role of Mad Max Rockatansky. Maybe someone like Paul Walker or Mike Vogel, or how about shaking things up - Rosario Dawson?

i don't mean to make Barbelith into a news\rumour blog, but I thought people here would be happy to hear.

Paul Walker or Rosario Dawson... there's a choice? Is anyone chomping at the bit for neo-Mad Max as played by Paul Walker? Versus Rosario Dawson walking the land of shoulder-pads and mohawks and settling arguments by hitting the other party with a car for two hours? Designed by Brendan McCarthy goes a long way, sure, but what has Walker ever brought to the table. In anything? Other than Walker-ness?

I kinda want Takashi Miike and Tadanobu Asano to remake the earlier ones as one five hour epic, now. Really, really want.

If that isn't the movie they make, I'm writing a screenplay based on that idea.

I'm curious to see what McCarthy produces, what they take away from it once it's been "corrected," but at the same time I wonder how it's going to work if the visuals don't match the McCarthyism's tone?
