Hajj is the pilgrimage to Mecca within Islam, yes? Which every Muslim should undertake at least once in a lifetime. First questions to Delacroix: Have you done it? Are you a Muslim? How does it fit into the context of your Islamic beliefs if so? And finally what in the name of Beezlebub does it have to do with Chaos?

There's a interesting account of the Hajj given in Ziaudden Sardar's book Desperately Seeking Paradise. Which should be on the reading list of anyone who wants to gain an better understanding of Islam.

delacroix, this is the second time you've done this. The first, that I'm aware of, was the Surrealism in the ME thread. Take a hint from what people said there - provide some context for your query. Some background info on why it's meaningful to you. And that abstract "Chaos & The Hajj"? What the hell is that supposed to mean?
