We had a pretty good one. We didn't get a chance to carve our pumpkins, so we set them out on the front walk in a familial group. Took lil' monk for his first proper trick-or-treating, and held a short but lovely formal remembrance of our ancestors.
I used the last few minutes of the day to sit and talk with my grandfathers, and to ask for their help through our present difficulties. I've set aside some candy for them, remembering the sweet tooth they both had. There's a white candle burning for them on our hearth. |
