I want to see a larger scale model of the information represented by Barbelith. A zoomable interface, emphasizing the time of postings and the parallel development of threads on related topics. Or even a map.

The faq does the job to a certain extent but is a similar flavor of representation to the board itself.

I once saw a website by a guy from MIT, visualizations of the Iraqi death toll and cloudlike three dee webs. A coworker showed it to me, I'll have to ask him for the link again.

Future of the Book is all I could think of. I read gamer theory on paper and it came across pretty well, but I bet it was fun to watch it get pieced together.

You know what I'm saying. If this reminds you of anything, pipe up. Any weird digital book or reorganization of text as an image of webpage that might give me an idea what to be looking for. (having no luck with the search engines)

Hmmm... there was something a while ago where they made a visual representation of Britsh law codes, and a visual representation of some computer programming, and they made the same kinds of pattern, whereas when they made a rep of the gutenberg project's libraries (literature) it was totally different. Point being law code more like computer programming than human-readable literature.

TextArc is a lot closer to what I'm thinking of, but still not quite... holographic enough.
