Next up on the Drones Calendar:

O Yuki Conjugate, who've recently returned from a decade's hiatus with their excellent album "The Euphoria Of Disobedience" - some of which appeared on the Lucky Number Slevin soundtrack.

Plus the London debut of Sunseastar's manipulated environmental sounds.

So actually it'll be pretty droney for a change.

New from the Drones Club, MazaJ and Dubbers Anonymous:

It's a bit of a departure for the Drones, both by being more specific - the focus is on pan-Arabic beats and dubstep-flavoured electronics - and by involving far more collaborators, which is a very good thing.

Oh, and there will be pretty pictures projected on the wall by Lightning Rod of Bubblevision, whose lightshows have graced many a Drones Club night before.

I think some here might like it. So do pop along, and feel free to PM me for cheap list.

Checkpoint returns for a second heavyweight session this Saturday - we've got dub, industrial dub, electonic dub, dubstep, a return of the pan-Arabist rhythms of Dajjah and some freaked-out synth-heavy psychedelic grooving to Platform Five(5) (of which I am a founder member) to do!

And there's a late bar. We'll keep playing the dubstep and so forth for quite a long time, i expect.
