Y'know, eventually they're going to stop airbrushing Reed Richard's stretchmarks.

This Sunday
01:18 / 31.08.07
It's all airbrushing these days.

What? You expect the Invisible Woman to invisible them away?

Saint Keggers
01:21 / 31.08.07
Yes. Yes I do.

The Ivisible Man went shopping and asked the sales lady what she thought of the suit he was going to buy. She replied, "It's nice, but I just cant see you in something like that."

Wow. I needed that more than I knew. Nothing like a corny joke to kick the night up a notch.

Saint Keggers
01:31 / 31.08.07
Um.. not really. Not even a bit. How are you?

Saint Keggers
01:32 / 31.08.07
Thank you. Made that up on the spot. Just for you.

Apparently, V, the gag had a big impression on a number of people. Unless that was a test of the emergency broadcast system in your area.

Saint Keggers
01:39 / 31.08.07
I think A.R. may be drunk. Im getting that impression.

This Sunday
01:42 / 31.08.07
Sorta gathered. But, then, I thought that wasn't entertaining enough. Imagine 'dddrruuuunnnnkddrrruuunnnkdrruuu...' as the new storm warning klaxon cry!

Saint Keggers
01:44 / 31.08.07
I believe I would be taking an axe to that klaxxon. Yes, I most definitly would. YOu see, chances are I would be drunk and the paranoia that it was talking about me would set in.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
01:51 / 31.08.07
Hello, My Children!

One hour and ten minutes away from the sweet, sticky scent of freedom. The Barbehive buzzes in my brain but it all feels like call waiting until I get home for proper-like.

Have you been eating souls and infecting brains like you're expected to, my darlings?

This Sunday
01:53 / 31.08.07
But maybe it's celebrating your state!

Well, maybe not.

Hi Papers!

No I've only been eating chocolate and drinking wine.

This Sunday
01:55 / 31.08.07
I suspect my chocolate had a soul in it. Or nougat. I have some trouble telling the difference.

If Jewel sings about saving it, its not nuggat.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
02:10 / 31.08.07
If Jewel sings about saving it, KILL IT UNTIL IT BLEEDS. *shiver*

It's been a very good day/evening at work - relatively steady with the people, lots to do, but not overwhelming. All the library patrons coming in weren't pains in the ass, either, which was refreshing.

I have no wine and no chocolate at my place. I have ice cream, so I may have that, though I'm not entirely sure I'm in the mood for it. I should probably pick up some liquor to keep in the liquor cabinet at some point soon, though. You know. To have a little something while I do the scribbling.

I keep having flashes of the Victorian professor-adventurer, Pascal Papyrus, and I'm left wondering who he is, exactly and precisely. I should make some notes.

This Sunday
02:23 / 31.08.07
I have a weird urge to hear someone sing Kill It Till It Bleeds. Don't know the lyrics, the music, but maybe Nico? Luther Vandross?

Saint Keggers
02:27 / 31.08.07
ugh... I just got sick from too much chocolate.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
02:34 / 31.08.07
For some reason, I'm hearing "Kill it until it bleeds" as sung by the Dave Clark Five.

LET us go then, you and I,
When the evening is spread out against the sky
Like a patient etherised upon a table;
Let us go, through certain half-deserted streets,
The muttering retreats
Of restless nights in one-night cheap hotels
And sawdust restaurants with oyster-shells:
Streets that follow like a tedious argument
Of insidious intent
To lead you to an overwhelming question …
Oh, do not ask, “What is it??
Let us go and make our visit.

Saint Keggers
02:43 / 31.08.07
huh? Wuzzat?

This Sunday
02:44 / 31.08.07
I think we have lyrics.

Refrain, anyone?

Saint Keggers
02:46 / 31.08.07
ugh..not me. Evrything I try to write for it sounds like it should be sung by Danzing.

This Sunday
02:48 / 31.08.07
The zingier version of Glen Danzig?

Y'know? I'd pay money to see Danzig jumping around in tight pants doing a pseudo cheerleader act. He could, in fact, just cover Jump and imitate the video. Real. Money.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
02:56 / 31.08.07
I'm fairly certain we can't call The Love Song for J. Alfred Prufrock a song titled "Kill it until it bleeds."

That is, that said, one of my favourite poems.

This Sunday
03:01 / 31.08.07
Never could do Eliot. It's like a mental block. Possibly a willed mental block.

Unless it's George Eliot. Her I like.

What makes it work for you, if I may ask?

Saint Keggers
03:13 / 31.08.07
I know its early..but Im off to bed. g'night all.

Night, Venger.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
03:28 / 31.08.07
The rhythm is wicked, the metaphors inspired. It DANCES.

In fact, I felt compelled, just now, to find his COLLECTED POEMS, which seems to have gone AWOL. Possibly, I'm just tired and blind, but I luckily have a copy of Prufrock in 20th Century Poetry & Poetics. His lines build on each other, acquiring almost terminal velocity.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
03:31 / 31.08.07
FUCK! Where'd that book go? I've got all the Ann Sexton and Arthur Rimbaud on hand that you could possibly need, but no Eliot.

This Sunday
03:54 / 31.08.07
Will not the Rimbaud and Sexton sate for the night?

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
04:06 / 31.08.07
Well, I found some Eliot in the anthology, so it's all okay. Sexton's more of a Friday thing.

What are you up to? Working?
