That's sort of cool. But they are rubbing it in your face with the g33k, 1337xx00r "oh yes we read comics and we'd love to earn money on geeks, because geeks pay money to see super heroes." Mjeeehhh...

I expected season 1 to end way, waaaaayyyy bigger than it did. It actually was kind of lame and the characters are more lucky than smart.

So I don't think Uhura will save the show. Who's next? Mark Hamill? Maybe a sword fight between future/past/present-Hiro and Bruce Campbell as the psycho-killer-alien father of Sylar will do? Once again: Mjeeehhh!

I am looking more forward to autumns The Office and Venture Brothers.

Haven't seen it (Burn Notice). Bruce is getting a bit old, but still, he'd kick Sylars' butt big time! Yes!

Season 1 SPOILAR

Sylar is the best Heroes character and I just don't think that they made Hiro strong enough to make the showdown seem real. I mean, in the last episode of the first season he runs toward Sylar with his sword and says something cute and lame like "Virran! Virran!" before he almost kills him... and that's it. I was just expecting a battle of the Heroes and not this. So unless they do some really good work with the 2nd season I won't use bandwith on it anymore.

I'm wondering now if they'll have Claire Bennett run into a problem similar to the unkillable cruciform parasite people in the Dan Simmons books - kind of eroding away over multiple rebirths.

Or some other unforeseen consequence.

Most of the FX budget and story focus centered on Skylar over all the others. Pretty much from the get-go till the season finale.

Lightshow or no lightshow. I was anticipating a good climax, where the characters actually had to fight for what they stand for. But they did not really do that. They just stood around, talking a lot.

Also Peter just stood there (while he's about to explode), discussing the situation with his brother. Talking instead of doing. Just not my sort of climax.

FX budget yes. Story no.

Sylar got screentime sure, and he was important from a plot standpoint, what with him being the primary antagonist that's hardly surprising, but in character terms the guy was two steps away from being a non-entity if you ask me.

Screentime does not equal WIN. Or otherwise Captain Archer, Tucker and T-pau* would have taken over television.

He was moderately interesting in the filler issue involving him going to see his Mum, but otherwise supervillainaus genericus boringicus. Hopefully, as the actor is going to be busy being young Spock that might limit his time on Heroes.

* Arse. I realise I can't remember the character's proper name. She obviously isn't T'Pau, who was Spock's Auntie.

You're thinking of T'pol, Lady. T'pau, I believe, was Spock's grandmother, or great-grandmother.

BTW, if anyone's interested, the Heroes Season 1 dvd will be released on August 28th in North America.

If I remember corectly, there was a sort of ultra villain planned for the next season. Wasn't the little girl (the one who can find all heroes by thinking about them) seeing a bad guy who could also see her? I think that he/she may replace the Sylar.

Also, the Claire character is going to fall in love with a new character (I can't remember where I read it).
