Minus the Bear - The next big thing (from the Pacific North West)

So, one of my favourite bands of the past couple years, and apparently they're set to break it into the big time (in the same way that fellow Pacific North Westerners, Modest Mouse, did) with their new upcoming release "Planet of Ice" (available in the UK 20th August).

So, any fans here already?

I guess I'll direct you to some videos:

Pachuca Sunrise

The Game Needed Me

I would recommend their last album "Menos El Oso" as their currently most accessible album.

Looking forward to the new one.

I've only seen them once live and thought they were fantastic whilst there.

Couple months later saw the recording of the show on Scuzz or something, and it sounded pretty bad and off key.

I love(d) Botch, but I don't really care for Minus the Bear (or These Arms Are Snakes, for that matter).

Minus The Bear = borecore!

Look out for Penguins Disgracing Themselves In The Dinner Jackets Nature Gave Them's first album, 'Oxford University! It Still Means Something! It Means Death!'

It's sung by my uncle. Who is in prison, at the moment, for reasons I'd honestly rather not go into. In that sense, PDTITDJNGT are a bit like Love, Sly and the Family Stone, Frank Sinatra or The Glitter Band. Misunderstood, then.

Mm, borecore? Nah, I don't like boring music. Nossir.

MtB are pretty good, may tak ea while to get into them. I didn't liek the new album on the first few listens, but it's actually pretty good.
