And, Leigh, I see what you mean. Perhaps a few moments of punctuated inarticulateness? So it would stand out as a trait, rather than just authorial.
That uncertainty, an almost by the book (but he doesn't know what the book says precisely) tone, comes through pretty good and it's a likeable persona, certainly. It'd be a shame to lose it, true.
