Well, it's probably actually something like XII 1/2, but anyhow, we're back at a small, intimate venue this time around, because we like it.
Raagnagrok continue what they describe as "their nine year mission into the frontiers of cosmic raga muzik," which means electric sitar, wibbly electronics and funny costumes.
This is a picture of Raagnagrok on a roof in Dalston:
Djinn were helpfully spoken of as playing "kick-ass arabizms and sufic detonations", which is about right, except that it's useful to add that they do this live as well as in software.
It's not certain that they will have dancers perform with them like this:
but you never know, but there might be hats like this in evidence, and definitely the reeds:
What with the smoking ban and all, shishas cannot be provided; but Stage B are rebuilding their entire back room as an open space so that people can smoke without hanging around on the street. |
