I've decided that it's just cheeky to start a new thread everytime the band does a gig because there are really too many now.

We're playing on Saturday 14th July! Come along! It will be a good night, I reckon. We might not roack as hard as Guitar Wolf, but don't let that put you off...Here's the info:

MORNING BRIDE

That is so round the corner from my house it would almost be harder not to go...

I'll be in the area, of course, and might well be able to get away earlyish. I'd really like to see the Cesarians (and MB, obviously) somewhere a) I can hear them b) not get trampled on and c) not have to breathe a tonne of second hand smoke.

Bump!

Hell, I might come to this and bring some friends along too! When is MB playing circa?

Mono
07:13 / 13.07.07
That would be wicked!

I'm not sure on the noise curfew, but I *think* we'll be on around 10, maybe? 10:30? The Cesarians are really something to see, though...

Sorry, never made it to the gig. How was it?

Mono
11:18 / 16.07.07
It was weird and awesome. Half of the lights on the place went out but we all played anyway. people were dancing and it was reeally fun!

Mon Oncle Ignatius
11:22 / 17.07.07
It was great - and just what I needed after a very emotional evening shortly beforehand. I was one of the dancing fools concerned.

The Seabright Arms has to be one of the best strange venues around too: it's a pub last decorated sometime in the Thirties with darkened windows, so it looks like there's nothing going on inside (or was that because the lights blew?). Perfect for the gig, especially for The Cesarians - who I was very glad to see at least in a venue where the sound was of a good quality and I wasn't getting trampled by people puffing away on their last cigarettes at an indoor gig like last time.

I'll dig out some photos once they're taken off my camera and onto Flickr.

We are playing in Central London for once!

Wed. Nov 7th @
BLOOMSBURY BOWLING LANES
Basement of:
Tavistock Hotel
Bedford Way
London WC1H 9EU

I know it's kinda strange for our type of band to play at a bowling alley (even if they do rock gigs there every week), but it's a cool place and it will force us to rock out more than usual. And there's a diner. And bowling. And karaoke. What more do you need?

All you barbelithers with 'real jobs' might be convinced to pop by. I don't think it's going to be a super late one, seeing as it's mid-week.

We're playing in Essex and Sheffield soon, too but I don't have the details yet...

That would be priceless on video... Nah, I hear they're pop in these 50's retro days.

The bowling alley's a cool place. Such a great idea for a venue.

It's one of those things, like a fez, that you don't realise your life is missing until you actually experience it.

Mon Oncle Ignatius
23:35 / 29.10.07
It is indeed - and weirdly enough, there's another retro-Americana styled bowling alley underneath a hotel just around the corner. But they don't have bands playing there; not even those who wear the fez.

iamus
11:18 / 30.10.07
Are they connected by a secret network of tunnels that run from the back of the lanes, populated by little gnomes in bowling shirts that polish the pins and keep the machinery in tip-top condition?

They should be.
