Well, before you worry about aesthetics and functions you need to register a domain name. This is pretty easy, you can go to places like GoDaddy and see if the name you want is taken.
Once you have a domain you need to find a provider, which is someone who owns a chunk of server somewhere in the world they want to rent to you.
Once you have a place to put your page, then you need to decide what you want it to do. If you want a bulletin board style place that is fairly easy, and might come built in to a hosting deal. You can get fancier, like some of the fanfiction communities, where people can upload their fiction and others can download it to read it. |
