Cripes, last time I made it along to a meet was around the time of the last solstice (that's six months ago for those of you who don't speak hippie). Anyone fancy a couple in the Plough at some point in the not-too-distant?
I can do basically this weekend or Sunday 24th and that could well be it for June. If anyone suggests the 30th/1st July weekend then it's going to go a bit 'World War Lady' I'm afraid.
Ach, I'm not available on the 24th June, so it looks like I'll miss out this time (and on the female Monks tribute band - the Nuns - who play that night too).
Hi all - I wonder if we could push back the time a bit...? I'll be coming up from Hove and the trains are often v delayed. Or if you;re still around at 6ish I'll come join you. CS.
Cathryn: Unless a new law is passed, pushing closing times back to before 6pm, there will be several Barbeloids will still be in the pub. 3pm starts and 11pm finishes were common in Barbemeets of yore.
I've now got band practice booked for Sunday afternoon, but if I'm not too tired out, and if there are folks still around in the evening, I might well pop in.
I am tempted... Veeery tempted. Is there a secret handshake, garment or password I'll need to be in the know on? Or will shouting BAAAAAAAARRRRRR-BEEEEEE-LIIIIIITH in the Plough do it?
Nolte, look for a bright red T-shirt that says BARBELITH underneath my face, that should do it. Or just head for the rowdiest group in the Plough (yes Cathryn, I'm looking at you).
