Venger, try something with no Betty Boop eyes, then. Simple enough. Kaiji Kawaguchi's Eagle, the aforementioned Nishi collection, or Lone Wolf and Cub (only the kid's have them, and y'know, kids kinda do sometimes) might do it for you. Depends on the genre you're looking for two (the above would be (a) politics, (b) romance/relationships, and (c) father/son action death pose-real-cool honor and revenge).
