I just got back to the US after 5 months abroad, where I met my first 'lithers in person, and now I'm really curious about the ones who live in my area. Is there anyone in the bay area that feels like a gathering? I was thinking maybe we could meet and go someplace like Yoshi's (sushi jazz club in Oakland), or something like that. But of course all ideas are welcome. I have No Plans at the moment, so timing is quite flexible.

This coming week is BUSY but maybe the week after. During the week; taking a trip on the weekend.

A little late in noticing this.

I have lots of friends that play at Yoshi's, it's a great place for music and sushi. It can get pricey though.

L'Amyx Tea is an awesome tea house a few blocks north from where I live. nice place... further north is the amazing Mountain View Cemetery where I've been taking my dogs for evening walks (the place closes at sunset but those hours after 6 and before sunset are amazing there).

Every so often some of us Lithers have met up in downtown Berkeley as well. Jupiter is great for local brewed beer, decent Pizza and at times great live music.

Summer's been insanely busy so it's difficult for me to plan more than a day or 2 in advance when I'm actually in town. But it's always interesting meeting peeps from these parts... let's see what happenens.

I'm in Pleasanton at the moment and as you can imagine it's very pleasant but if anyone feels like meeting up for a beer sometime in the next two weeks lemme know otherwise I'll most likely just be watching TV most nights and the TV here is starting to make me think I should be thinner and possibly buying property.

Weekends would be better because I'm here for training. It's very pretty here. I'm not sure what I was expecting but it wasn't this.

I'm back from the mountains(ish), so up for hanging out in the next two weeks. I live on the Berkeley-Oakland border now, so I vote Berkeley or Oakland because it's easy for me, but I can also get anywhere there's BART, more or less. Pleasanton's a little out of the way, but Bear, no doubt you want to get out of there when you can, anyway...?

Hey! I'm back on the boards after a long away. I'm in Berkeley, but work in SF. So Berks, SF, Oaktown & E-ville are all fine with me.

I am in LA for the coming weekend but the rest August is wide open, as I am not Burn-ing this year after all. (Boo!)

Jupiter and Triple Rock are both in Berkeley. Never been to Yoshi's, so that sounds good too!
