how i can put youtube embedded, like instead link, it is a picture of the youtube in post, and user can just click image and watch it in thread on barbelith. would make our 2 youtube threads very fun

Please don't do this, Denfeld. Even if you work otu a way to do so, just please don't.

More technical answer - not all HTML works on Barbelith. If you try a piece of HTML on Barbelith and it doesn't work, then Barbelith isn't set up to do it. One could ask Tom to fix this - in effect by starting this thread one is - but "ability to embed YouTube video" is sufficiently far down the list of issues at present that unless a) it was a very quick fix and/or b) he hates us, it seems unlikely that this would be enabled in the near future.

I don't see what's so great about the embedded Youtube thing anyhow. I always open a copy of the vid in another tab anyway so that I can carry on reading what I was reading while I wait for it to load.

Speaking personally, I don't see much value provided by the ability to embed images in Barbelith posts against the ugliness hassle and risk it causes, but there we go. That battle is lost.
