I think this is probably best place to ask this (?) - Would anyway know where I could get some art prints online or in London - stuff like

Francis Bacon
M.C. Escher
and the Alien guy who I've totally forgotten how to spell his name, but you know who I mean?

Those people who lay out posters of aliens smoking spliffs on Oxford street usually have lots of that sort of stuff.

I'd check museums that house the work you want prints of...

...otherwise search on google and the first few links go to the same place...
barewalls.com is one that comes to mind.

Bacon's definitely one of my fav's as well...also big on his tryptics (sp?).

And um...as the alien guy is concerned, are you thinking of Edvard Munch's "The Scream"?

Yup thats who the Bear meant, yeah Bacon's excellent and he's got some life story, what I'd really like on my wall is this -

Painting 46

But it would probably give me nightmares

I can find no thread more suitable than this. After a year and a half living with the unpleasant decor in the house we bought, we've started to decorate and put up pictures and that. I bought two Watchmen posters online last night (I have a third, somewhere, but I'll probably never find it) and am planning to get a Vote Kinky poster from the man's own website.

What I now want is a picture of art in an environment. A poster, preferably quite large, which is a photograph, possibly black and white, of an artist's work out there in the world. I used to have a little poster of Rachel Whiteread's House, sitting there stark and alone in the wasteground in East London where it was installed, and that's roughly the kind of thing I'm after. Anthony Gormley, Andy Goldsworthy, anything along those lines. If anyone has a line on where such a thing can be obtained I'd be pathetically grateful.

My ideal, possibly unattainable, would be a b&w shot of Jenny Holzer's Truisms or the Survivor series in New York, around Times Square. Anyone who can point me to one of those gets a free gift through the post.
