IDEA Number2: An utterly marvellous extravaganza of Music and performance of Barbeliths held within the Fantastic venue of Lavender Hill’s Local Laundrette… (with a very charming and handy offie located across the road)

I know we can get permission for the venue, but all thats needed is the equipment and bands!!? Here’s where you all come in.. Any ideas?

I know hawking wares & services on here is frowned upon, but it seems relevant to mention I have a decent PA system [2kw RMS, more available if required] available for hire at very competitive rates [or maybe just the cost of my getting it there, depending on the type of music involved!] Its only been used for dance music stuff so far but properly eq'd it will be awesome for live bands too.

I'd be well up for playing a laundrette, although I'm not sure how much I'll be to people's tastes.

I can also manage a mixer, mic stands and cables.

How big is the room though? I'm thinking PA + small room + hard surfaces = not able to hear anything.

Might it be loud enough acoustic and/or with practice amps?

What is it with this place, where did the laundrettes go? Some of the best moments of my life have taken place in them. Are Australians that affluent that they have their own facilities?
