How long will you last?. Shoot the zombie SWAT teams in the legs, otherwise their bulletproof vests save them!

After 20 days the army come and rescue you.

The key is to hunt for survivors as a first priority and only look for weapons when there are lots in the area (look at the indecator bar...)

But yes, great fun...

I've tried a few strategies, and yeah, loading up on (slow-shooting) fellow travellers works a lot better than trying to find better weapons or just blow all your time repairing the barricade.

If you change weapons while firing you keep your rate of fire from the previous weapon.

Uzi+barratt = win.

Wow, awesome!

That was a really good game, the difficulty curve was nice, and it was nerve-wracking deciding how to spend your day in the early stages.

And then I found the sawn-off shotgun and became comparable to a deity.

I was on day 20. Day fucking 20! And I accidentally clicked on the link below the screen.

Rage.

Link to full-screen version. Much gorier.

It is far, far too easy, but quite fun. But yes - spend 12 hours for the first couple of days looking for people, then intensively search for weapons. By Day 17 or so I had every weapon, six chums and an unharmed barricade, and was rather sitting on my thumbs.

How do you do the thing that makes it full-screen? I have some other flash games I'd like to play big-style.

Find the direct url for the .swf file and play it in your browser.

That much I get, Triplets. My question, I suppose, was "how does one go about finding the URL of the .swf file?"

Bamba
22:05 / 21.05.07
View the source of the page and just look for the URL ending in .swf then whack that directly into the address bar of the browser.

Incidentally, popping a zombie SWAT guy in the head with a hunting rifle is much more efficient than going the legs route.

Rifle + shotgun seemed the best combo for the armored zombies. Save the shotgun for up close.

Oh, yeah.

Very tempting to try the whole thing with the chainsaw....

Chainsaw: possible.

I suppose anything is.

And now, to sleep, to dream of sweet music.

Bamba has it, Haus.

Quite loving this game but I always get bored around Day 17. It recreates the crushing ennui of the post-apocalypse quite well, I suppose.

Prepare to drop to your knees and worship me. This is Boxhead, in which you shoot swarms of Zombies and Satan with rocket launchers and full-auto shotguns. It makes The Last Stand look like a pile of crap.

In the same vein Endless Zombie Rampage.

I like the diary entries.

Good way to while away an evening.

All I got from Boxhead was a black box and a chat window full of people writing messages like "HY LADEEZ STROKES MY COOCOMBER LOLZORZ!!11!"

It seems you can reload while shooting. Hold down the firing button and press reload every few second. You will be able to fire continuously.

Although it only works with automatic weapons.

I assume everyone got to dah choppah? on Day 20?
I only noticed the diary around Day 15/16 but they were entertaining Might have to play through again.

Does anyone still play Urban Dead, mayhaps?

I'm on a zombie tip at the moment, and the sequel to this delightful game came out a couple of months ago. It's much longer and better (with resource collection!)

The Last Stand 2.

Now go make your actual Last Stand. Cos, you know, the last one was more a penultimate stand.
