My thoughts azzactly, but just after I posted this I had another idea:
Alternatively, the puzzle-setter could leave it without the solution at all and puzzle-solvers could use the gizmo in reply. This would keep the solution at maximum hiddenness, with setter exclaiming: "(insert successful barbebrain here) - YES!" in response to confirm solution.
It might be a bit top heavy doing it that way. However, people would be able to say to themselves: "Damn! Princess got there first. RIGHT. I'm redoubling my efforts..." Which might be more fun. |
