Things That Happen When You Misspell "Barbelith"

MattShepherd: I WEDDED KALI!

BARBARA&RACHEL features photos of Barbara and Rachel and MIDI music for each sub-page of photos.

There are many photos.

Many, many photos.

I sort of feel like it's part of an elaborate post-modern multimedia installation that I don't quite get. Looking through too much BARBARA&RACHEL late at night really makes me feel disconnected from the world and surreal.

I have mixed feelings about BARBARA&RACHEL.

Sometimes you scare me.

I have now spent far too much time thinking about BARBARA&RACHEL and have consecrated said thoughts to Weblog here.

I won't re-post the whole thing in Convo to avoid chaff, but there's actually a lot going on behind my sudden fascination with BARBARA&RACHEL. Considering starting an Art thread.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who found that site oddly and somewhat addictively charming and interesting.

We all know about this don't we?

I didn't, actually. Being in North America, my fingers rarely append the co.uk by force of habit. Was that "Barbelith" site owner ever a member of this Barbelith?

I've seen Barbe High School and Babelt's blog (which you can't see, actually) trying to get here, but .uk doesn't come off my fingers reflexively.

Does anyone know if the owner of that site was ever a member here? Because that's my new super-petulant plan for if I ever get booted out. I'll start my own Barbelith, by myself, a superBarbelith, where I'll lecture myself on how it's all Morrison's fault for leaving everyone unattended. I should be an ipsissimus by then.

When Barbelith dies, will there be a sudden spontaneous appearance of four different Barbelith variants, with strong hints that one of them is the "true" Barbelith, only for it to be later revealed that Barbelith was never truly dead and only recharging its batteries?

Matt likes to keep his DCcomickular allusions firmly in the square, pre-Moz era.

The Eradicatorlith, I'm betting, will be solely moderated by Flyboy.

Sq- sq- square? But Supes had Soundgarden hair when he came back, man!

Dibs on Shaq to play the title character when they make a feature film about my Steelith.

I suspect BARBARA&RACHAEL are dead. And I think I know who killed them.

Ok, not a miss-type but still odd.

I frequently mistype it as Babelith, and I confess to being somewhat disappointed that there's nothing there. It sounds rather racy and exciting.

A school network I used a grand total of twice, took 'babelith', turned it into 'babelfish' and sent you there.

Well, at least it's useful.

Mere moments ago I managed to type it as "barfbelith". I smell a spinoff site...

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
02:41 / 07.05.07
...Like the Heaven's Gate cultists in San Diego, the fourth-century Barbelite Christians believed that human bodies were containers for the fallen fragments of a higher power which had become trapped here at the beginning of time. Also like the Heaven's Gaters, the Barbelites believed that reproduction was evil, and sought to transcend a world built and controlled by the demonic forces of ignorance.

We all walk with pieces of The Coates within us.

I suppose this means that we shouldn't worry about there being a BarbElite as much as we should worry that they're cultists. Brain-eating super-cultists...

Kirin? Who the heck?

Ooh, secret handshakes! 'A tickling stroke is made in the palm of the hand', apparently. Wouldn't all non-barbelites think you a little odd if you attempted to tickle their palms when you met them?

So anyway, uh...

Who's up for a bit of coitus interruptus?
