Hello all, I've haven't posted in ages, but I've been lurking. Right now I need some advice from London area folk.
I will be moving there for four months on May 2nd. While there, I will be conducting research at the British Library Newspapers collection at Colindale. I will be with a team of three other women.
We are looking for short term rentals near Colindale, or failing that near Camden or St. Pancras. We have been searching through all of the online rental agencies, gumtree.com, London Craigslist, and so on. We have had no luck at all as everyone seems to be looking for at least a six month contract. We would like to rent on a weekly basis, as we may have to move depending on where our work takes us.
If any of you lovely people know where we might find accommodation, preferably on a student budget, we would be much obliged.
The sites that have been posted for other inquiries regarding rentals in London have not been helpful. The ones that I found at any rate.
I realize this is very short notice, but any advice is greatly appreciated.
