Will do. G'night!

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
23:10 / 15.04.07
Cleaning! So that I can be all attuned to myself and capable of writing the latest beast. Who's up?

Blake Head
23:15 / 15.04.07
Well I'm sitting on a windowsill, blowing my horn
Nobody's up except the moon and me,
And a lazy old tomcat on a midnight spree

Blake Head
23:15 / 15.04.07
beast?

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
23:18 / 15.04.07
Story. My stories are little monster babies that demand constant attention.

Blake Head
23:20 / 15.04.07
Do you send the little critters out into the world afterwards?

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
23:24 / 15.04.07
Yes, and they often survive outside of the brain-womb until some publisher comes along and rejects them to death. Ah well.

Blake Head
01:34 / 16.04.07
Tonight has actually been quite exciting - for me anyway. A 3AM delivery of boxes of books from home, my reason (excuse) for staying up to all hours tonight. Gradually, ever so gradually, the books that lived at home and the books that lived with me are being reunited under one roof. This, if you are anything like me, is cause for much joy.

Another delivery tomorrow night.

But now I go to celebrate with a tuna sandwich.

Hurrah!

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
01:41 / 16.04.07
Books! I have all my books in one place, now, and they fill the apartment with much light.

Blake Head
01:44 / 16.04.07
One day soon, I too will read by this mysterious allbooksinoneslibraryinoneplace light. Soon...

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
01:52 / 16.04.07
It's difficult to sleep, some nights, when the book-wattage is too high. That's why I need to keep the Vonneguts seperate from the Wintersons, and the Kathy Acker books need to stored in a locked cupboard, wrapped in a damp towel.

Blake Head
01:57 / 16.04.07
Does the book-wattage result in a slight humming noise, maybe even the suggestion of almost inaudible voices? I thought I started hearing something as I put the crates down next to the bookcase. Not that I'm worried or anything.

Blake Head
01:59 / 16.04.07
Actually the real problem is going to be finding shelf space, and space for shelves, so for the moment they're going to be living in boxes a while longer.

But that's a problem for another night.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
03:12 / 16.04.07
I find that if you combine Phil Dick's VALIS with Margaret Atwood's LADY ORACLE and Octavio Paz's SELECTED POEMS, they tend to harmonize with each other and sputter the Ode to Joy as if it was coming out of an old CB radio under someone's bed.

THIS.

IS.

LAATESHIIIIIIIFT!!!!

It worked last night.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy

What am you off about then?

Gah! Please stop that, ASS #7 was my first Bizarro encounter, and already my brain hurts. Just... Stop.

Please...

Hello! Im loving all this talk about old tv cartoons, but let us never forget the greatest of them all:

I loved that show.

Saint Keggers

And how can anyone name a thread "2" without including :Electric Boogaloo?

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK
01:58 / 17.04.07
'Tis a mystery.

Saint Keggers
02:13 / 17.04.07
One of the great mysteries indeed. (I wonder if they'll spell electric with a K?)

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK
02:14 / 17.04.07
Oh, I certainly hope so.

Saint Keggers
02:30 / 17.04.07
I have crazy this idea that eventually everything will be spelled with a K. Things like "electrick, atlantick and dogk" The cool kids will start to spell things without a K and be thought of as weirdos.

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK
02:38 / 17.04.07
Krazy.

Saint Keggers
02:40 / 17.04.07
weirdo

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
03:54 / 17.04.07
How can anyone have a sequel and not include the tagline, "This Time, it's Personal?" I mean, really. There are rules. Rules of etiquette, style, and finesse. Dammit.

What a great evening! I went out to a cafe with two friends and I worked on my short story while C marked papers from his prodigy English students and J went through research for her thesis proposal. I came away feeling all refreshed and stimulated by the brain-thinking.

Geez, 6 more pages of Plinth. I just ate the spiciest curry and added chilies to it and I feel highly combustible.

Fire in the hole!

iamus
22:56 / 18.04.07
I started to eat a raw chilli today, but decided to stop for it was a silly idea indeed.

I washed my hands just in case I forgot and went to rub my eye or scratch my balls.

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK
23:55 / 18.04.07
Ooh, I've done the whole "chopping enough chilis for eight people's dinner then going for a piss" thing.

NOT nice.

Better than going to the toilet and realising that you are holding in your hand not your Mrs Minniver but a chili, and then see, on the chopping board....

DUN DUN DUN!

iamus
23:57 / 18.04.07
No.

I did hear an amusing anecdote from a woman I know about the time her daughter was wee and they were messing about, shoving spring onions up their noses and stuff.

She tried to copy with what was at hand....

I think you see where this is going.

I don't think Stoatie's done that yet, but you never know....

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK

Hey, the night is still young...

Saint Keggers

and I've personally timed it!
