Yeah. My hangovers are completely different animals from what they used to be. I used to drink a lot on a regular basis, and it used to be that I'd feel literally like I was going to die in the morning, feel a lot better by the afternoon and be ready to drink again by the evening. Now days I still drink a lot when I do drink, but I only do so once every couple of months or so and when I do I never feel half as awful as I used to the next day - I can move and talk, and eat a little, and my head doesn't hurt that much, but I feel weak a dizzy for two or three days, and sometimes depressed for as much as a week. The depression is much worse with wine or spirits than with beer. I figure the drinking less and the slower pushing thirty metabolism still play a part in this change. |
