It's your own fault for embracing the bleak, Calvinist sentiments in the lyric in the first place, Mr Q. The Reid brothers it's not OK to like were on about a life of harsh, manly self-flagellation that never does anyone any favours, really - karmically then, everything that surrounds them these days is, up to a point, going to be difficult.
It seems a bit beside the point now, but I never liked the tune very much either. |
