There was this genuin Invisible button.
I think you got it with some of the first isues.Never seen one but eays to make yourself if you actually want to run around with one you should be resoursful enought to get one yourself.

the actual invisibles button badge was crap. it had something written on it. it wasn't BLANK. It had "invisibles" written in pale beige across it.

I had a friend with a badge-maker do me up a bunch of actually blank button badges - works much better. the official one would also probably be hideously expensive on "collector" rationale, so yeah. might as well make your own.

think of it as a counter-subversive counterfeit merchandising item. much more fun.

I'll probably be making my own, thanks for the offer, I've bookmarked the webpage for making future Transmet/Watchmen badges - but it's probably not worth the hassle for a blank badge.

When i did my degree show, over ten years ago i made a bunch of blank badges.

I did most with a "mikemystery" logo on it but a few with the invisibles logo.

The badges were printed on non flourescing blotting paper with the logo sprayed on in UV ink. The badges were blank except under a uv light, when you could see the logo.

I still wear one (in fact, i met a guy from Barbelith at the Moorcock & Alan Moore thing at rada who noticed the badge) if anyone fancies, I could maybe make some more for barbelith.

An actual blank badge is easy. Find the local badgemaker, get one made. Should cost about 10p (25c). that's what i did. provide your own white papre. Bingo. White badge.

find a pin/badge (depending on what side of the pond you're on) for a really shit band or club night or something and spray paint it white. that's how i made mine.

Meet someone with a badgemaking machine. Gumbitch stamped mine out the other day and kept one for himself, but I'd love a UV one of the invisibles logo, that would go nicely with it.
I've got a white T shirt with a white sleeve patch with the logo embroidered on it in white, which is pretty cool. I might make one of those badges for it, though writing it out by hand with a UV pen might not look too professional.

I'm with phallicus on the latter. But I only ever read the comics one time.

If you want a blank badgeface, you can peel the cover off almost any badge to get to it. Depending on what the badge is made of (white plastic or cheap metal) you will get a white badge or a shiny metal badge.

I have accidentally turned many badges from various uni clubs and societies into invisibles badges by catching the edge of them on things, and having the face peel off them eventually.

I made some a few years ago. I had two types. Both look great.

Buy some blank ones (they come white but are hard to find)

Get some old ones you don't want anymore, clean 'em up, buy a can of white enammel spray paint (everyone should own at least a can of white and a can of black anyway in case you have to put a message on a wall some time), spray with a couple of coats! Let it dry, the end result is great!

in the first collection, at the end with the marquis de sade, the young boy he picks up recieves his badge. he looks into it and notices it's a reflection.

i THINK thats when it mentions it being reflective.
