I, for one, am frightfully excited about this. The seminal first adventure was released in 1996, as you perhaps know. I was a naive young thing at the time and this game, unfortunately played on a Sega Saturn, made my head go concave. No other 3rd person action/adventure title starring a female lead with dual pistols would ever provide me with the same jovial exhilaration ever again. The end.

Let's now discuss our most bestest memories of the original and also let's express our fears and concerns and perhaps even our hopes for this next reiteration of Lara Croft's polygony escapades.

It's interesting, because when Tomb Raider was released I was really out of the computer game loop, and I assumed the game looked like the pictures on the box! (Should have learned better from ZX Spectrum experience I suppose). So it wasn't until I finally played one of the sequels on PlayStation (original) that I realised it was actually pretty blocky and basic. Which was baffling, considering that Lara Croft had become some kind of pin-up lads' mag icon by this point.

What I mean to say is... those screenshots look like I assumed the game looked from the start.
