Wanted to invite anyone who's interested in taking part in a design exchange of sorts for the web. Picked up the url (in the subject line) and was thinking about using it as a place to collaborate with others on simple design exchanges.
It's not fully considered yet but the main gist so far was to throw out a concept and schedule a small amount of time allocated for each person to put in their input. Thinking of a chain letter but with design. Input can range anywhere between writing material, designing, production, etc. Subject matter is up to you. And then when it's done, posting it at the site with a look into it's stages to see where the curves were thrown.
I've been talking about this with some friends and will probably make the first stab at it to kind of get it going. I'm thinking I could have the main page up by Friday 13th. So if you think it's worth your while or you want to dash my loosely organized hopes, let me have it.

Sounds like fun. I'm going off for a wander for a couple of weeks to sort me brain and me hard drive out though. I'd be up for it when I get back though!

Good to hear about the interest...if anyone needs a little background from me, as PATricky has done (thanks for the insight), go here.

I suggest looking at more of the promo work as its not typical and pretty open. I think it also relates more to an open feel that's a bit more appealing.

Will also be looking for input on another project named "Recycled Babies". It's based on the bastardization of the name of an old project I did in school and will be dealing with modern social issues relating to memes, strange reoccuring messages and the like. The design is pretty set and should be around soon too. This one may need a literary push as I'm not sure how cut out for the job I am.

Keep in mind, I don't want to take anyone's credit for anything but instead just want to flex a bit of design muscle and help get the word out on issues that don't equate into pay. This of course works best when there's more than one person putting time in. Art for art's sake, not for our own...

And lastly, my e-mail's in my profile if you need to get in touch with me better. Thanks.

backstabs, back-bleeds, methuselahs on their knees
anarch pool loss, vampire limbs lost
holding court to hear their pleas

fame damage, domains seized, constructing decks with cards of cheese
bluffing wake, vampires bake
from fire, fang, and Me

The crows dive sharply
For their dead
Aided by bats,
I keep one step ahead

(HA HA HA - are you employed yet?)

As always...behind schedule when pertaining to personal / social involvement, but will have something soon at halfbuilt.com...meaning a front page / layout up.

So...who else here is a web/digital designer or artist who has some non-corporate / non-business interests or work up?
