I'm surprised we don't have a thread on this yet (and also a little ashamed of myself for only just having got around to starting one myself).

Obviously, it's too early to tell exactly what's behind this, but the most popular theory among both the press and the police (according to their statements, anyway) is that it's a disgruntled motorist.

I'm wondering exactly when there'll be a call for Britain's motoring community to make efforts to expunge itself of extremists.

Of the 7, I think?, incidents only 2 or 3 have been aimed at motor vehicle establishments though, haven't they? With the others sent to seemingly sensitive to animal rights establishments. I know that there have been injuries, but it does seem like mischief making at the moment.

More likely that anti-car activists will get the blame, and possibly be linked to animal rights activists...

No idea who i think was really responsible...

I hope police are reviewing the video and literature of Jeremy Clarkson, to see if he's called upon his followers to jihad...

Ah, interesting, the list of attacks so far. It seems to be a mix of animal rights and car-related targets.

Other than the reference to Barry Horne, there's not a huge amount of evidence to point to animal rights activists- both labs involved were forensics labs. The only linking factor really is that all deal with surveillance in some form or another- security firms, congestion/speed cameras, forensics...
