Strangely, monkeys and apes are some of my least favorite creatures. I much prefer rabbits, dogs and pretty much every lizard and marsupial.

On a vaguely related note, I just found out today that you can own sugar gliders and they make great pets. I've convinced myself that I do, in fact have room for more animals in my apartment.

Giraffes are indeed ace. I love the twisted evolutionary logic that has a creature which lives on stuff it gets from high up growing a really, really long neck instead of wings or a different stomach.

Evolution's pretty damn cool itself, actually.

That's not actually why giraffes have long necks. Apparently they evolved primarily for fighting other giraffes.
