There's a charity event on, which involves the creation of one million individual works of art (loosely defined), in order to make a snapshot of how people are at this time.
It's kind of cool, and you get to watch videos of each artwork being created (using some pretty primitive but useable software)
here's what they say about why you should be a part of it:
Why should I get involved?
There are so many reasons!
Firstly, you will be part of something that really matters. This picture is trying to capture a snapshot of the society in which you live, and who is better qualified to make a statement about your world that you?
Secondly, you will be a published artist. Your image will be printed and displayed in some of the most prestigious art galleries in the world. You will also be a world record holder, having taken part in the largest artistic collaboration of all time.
Thirdly, you will be helping to make our world a better place. By making a donation we are hoping to raise over £3.5 million / $6.5 million / €5 million for global humanitarian and environmental charities..
So that seems like a good idea, I guess.
