Starting my own Cell Phone Company?

How do I go about leasing lines?

Buying phones in bulk?

Also

I need to put special programming on the phones. If I just had this info (and finding it through a mere google search has eluded me) I could go to an invester and have an idea to pitch!

Without it I will look like a punk kid with an idea that in the right hands could do very well. I just dont want to be seperated from my idea, I want to ride it into the future of business and wealth!!!

i don't know, dude.
there are a whole bunch of really rich people already running networks all across the world and most of them need official permission. you might not get past the licensing issue without millions.

the how-to of programming phones is quite protected for similar reasons - rich people own the tech and don't want some uppity hacker doing stuff that might affect their continued profits.

if you have an idea it would be easiest to design some kind of software prototype and sell the concept to one of these companies. the main risk you would run is that any patents you have on the product will only cover the same idea. there is precedent for folks having their idea changed enough to be a new idea nd being paid nothing.
the nature of your idea will matter there, as will how many patents you take out and how they are all worded.
bear in mind if you don't paten the programme, the code that will eventually be used, it will be easier for the general idea you present to be stolen.
(you can design a new OS that uses dropdown menus and a mouse, but you can't do it with apple's code)

a variation on the same plan would be to find a hungry investor who isnt already in the industry, but who wants in. you'll be taking on the industry that way(or going it alone), though, and history suggests big companies fight dirty and long.

Good advice. The idea I have will most likely level the playing field pretty damn fast.

I know for a fact that it will be adopted (or stolen) by anyone that can get their hands on it BUT I just want my share. If I made bigger companies sign a non-disclosure agreement would I be safe to take it to some of the larger providers without them stealing my idea?

Did you look into the patenting stuff?

I'd speak with some patent office/copyright advisors first then (if you can secure your idea) speak to a business advisor about seeking investment and getting a business plan drawn up.

alternatively, if you are a ninja, you could flip out and kill anyone who didnt immediately take you up on your idea and sign your million dollar contract.
that way the idea stays safe from those who would pay you nothing and rip you off.

plus, the old flip out and kill is sheer unadulterated AWESOME.
keeps you in shape, too.

Make sure your guitar is tuned before wailing, however.

Well it seems you two know a bit too much about me and my secret ninja identity. So you must know that there is only one thing a ninja like me can do now...

Before you get too carried away I suggest you have a read of this site.

It's for a popular British TV show, and, whilst the show itself is a bit silly, the site (and associated links) does contain some helpful advice, and may help bring you back down to Earth.

Write a great business plan and look for some angel investors. About five years ago I did a buttload of research on investors for an idea that never panned out... but they're not that hard to find. The local chapter of your SBA might be a good place to start.
