I'm late too, but happy new year everybody! Thanks to my own festive season stupidity, I have already learned two important lessons.
Background - on xmas eve, I left my phone at the home of a friend who promptly sodded off up north for xmas and new year. By the time I got my phone back, I had effectively ignored everyone's xmas and new year wishes, invitations and general greetings. My inbox was full, so I don't even know who I have now ignored and will spend the next week contacting everyone so as not to feel so mean.
Lesson 1 - everybody in the world should have a key buddy. Everyone. I should have been able to pop around to the house of someone else, or meet them in a pub, and get access to my mate's house. This is the kind of stupid situation key buddies are designed to guard against.
Lesson 2 - I should *not just* store phone numbers in my mobile phone. Back it up or write them down, you stupid stupid person.
So, the year begins with new knowledge. Huzzah! |
