I'm sure you could, if everyone agreed to it, in the case of the Internation Criminal Court itself, you can't, anything up to life imprisonment and the payment of reparations to the victims.
What's really depressing, in the case of Saddam, is that it turns out that killing him was able to make the situation worse. Just when you think the bottom of the barrel has been reached...
If Hellbunny is capable of polite discussion, I'd be interested in where ze's strong sense of moral absolutism on this matter comes from. Would ze see any difference between the death by hanging of a Saddam Hussein and the death by hanging of a completely different and innocent man? |
