I think so. In my experience, I also think "pretentious" is a term one might use when faced with something that has some sort of flaw or fault, but one which I am not knowledgeable enough to locate correctly- something about the poem/book/person/film etc is throwing me off, but I can't quite put my finger on what it is, doing so would require hard work on my part, it is easier to call it pretentious. |
