I'm sure I could probably squeeze out of said lease if need be as my apartment is one of those up-and-coming desirable neighbourhoods.

Anyway, my best friend (of the male persuasion) decamped this city a month ago. The best friend (of the female persuasion) leaves this city next Saturday. Not having any remaining love for this city has prompted me to think: Where should I go? Plead me cases for relocation because God knows if I stay here much longer, I will hurt something.

I would like 2007 to be the time of different sights and better possibilities.

I thought you were moving to the UK.

I would like to, but unfortunately as my friend tends to be a voice of reason (I have very little), she convinced to have a "back-up city." So I am not allowed to pin all my hopes on the UK because I would blindly do so.

1. Save like a fiend until you have about $2000. KD and baloney for you, young lady!
2. 60-Day Greyhound Discovery Pass.
3. 20 cities, 2 days each, plus travel time. Go on the Barbetour North America to find a place you like.

I would check out Denver and Providence. Those are the coolest cities I've ever lived in, but I suppose it depends on what you're looking for.

You had considered Austin at one point, had you not?

Do it. Do it do it do it do it. You will love it.

Promise.

i'll second the mention of providence. if i were ever to move back east, it's the only place i'd live.

also, portland (OR) is quite lovely, so long as you're ok with a serious rainy season.

Louisville and Chicago are where it's at.

If the UK doesn't work, and you still want to leave the country, I would suggest Montreal... very nice, cheap, and cultured!

Yeah, while you are here, Kali, check it out. It is lovely here if you can ignore the politics.

Finally I can read all these suggestions.

Was the one about Louisville legit?
