My band is starting to plan our first tour, we're relatively unknown and will be starting from the ground up totally DIY. We reside in Virginia and are planning a tour of the North East U.S. sometime this summer, this is all still pretty preliminary really.
I guess what I'm looking for is some advice from anyone who has been in a touring band before. As of now we'll be touring by ourselves and just looking to get shows with local bands from the city we're in. Fortunately we do have a few connections with bands that have come through Virginia and we have played with. So I guess that is where we will start.
Finally, if anyone is in a band or has any interest in helping us out and lives in the North East we would definitely appreciate it.
