Fred has tried to arrange such in the past, especially when Manty still lived out here. A few of us got together and went to TJ once in early 2005.

I am flaky and unreliable for the most part.

Most people in LA seem "flaky and unreliable for the most part." It's impossible to get people together to do anything (other than drink at loud bars). Perhaps it's foolhardy of me to think (hope?!) 'lithers would be much different.

I'm not proposing anything exotic or difficult. I wouldn't go to TJ with my best friend, much less a bunch of strangers who may or may not chop my head off and cook me in Matamoros.

Coffee at one of the few decent cafés in LA. A beer at a nice pub (preferably one without a TV). A joint in the park. Something simple and 'fleshy.' People used to do things like that. Before the internet.

Unfortunately I now live in London but fortunately I'll be in LA being WARM in 22 daze. With the rest of the Nowhere family. Prolly not much time for meet and greets but might or might not post whereabouts at some point. I can't believe it's hard to get folks to meet up at Griffith Park or thereabouts. Angeles Nat'l Forest hikes? Beach picnics? Sojourns to the desert? No fake soccer games in Victory Park? Goodness me, how times must have changed. O dear.

Wow, I just moved to this fair city last Summer. Wheee, go LA. If anyone ever has any ideas then spring them on me, I don't do much during the day usually (damn overnight job). I'm out in Studio City to be exact, but hey, that's only a train ride to Hollywood!
