Just a heads up for any interested dublin 'lithers, GM will be participating in a panel discussion next week at the irish museum of modern art. Here's the relevant information copied and pasted from their website:

The Winter Lecture/ Panel Discussion
Wednesday 29 November 3.30pm, Chapel
The Event is Permanent Work-Concepts-Processes-Situations-Information
This discussion forms a continuation of the exhibition and explores themes such as the notion of display,
exhibition making, the territory where the artist’s interests intersect with the curator’s and the institution’s
ideologies. It aims to explore the possible avenues of Relational Aesthetics and the reality of
collaborative practice. The panel of speakers are the Chair Rachael Thomas, Senior Curator: Head of Exhibitions, IMMA; Liam Gillick, artist; Grant Morrrison, writer, and Declan Long, lecturer, NCAD.

An opening reception for the exhibition follows the discussion.

Booking is essential as space is limited. Please contact the automatic booking line tel: +353-1-612 9948 or email talksandlectures@imma.ie

It'd be cool to meet people who are into the same stuff but I wont be able to check the internet between now and then to know who yis are but I'd make a very safe bet that on the night I'll be wearing either a leather jacket or an Irish army coat and a blue hoodie and I'll be with a tall thin geezer with glasses and jet black hair if anyone feels like accosting anyone for a few tins. Can't wait for this

If you do get a chance to meet the great man, RS, why not mention Barbelith, and possibly venture an apology for the incident to do with GM's wife that time?

Grant Morrison once responded to what he saw as an inappropriate remark about his spouse by Haus.

Here is the famous post.

Here is GM´s answer.
You can read the rest of the thread for reactions.

Here is the Wifegate convo thread.

Ha, always gets a giggle, that post. I dig it up every few months just for a hearty laugh. It's brilliant.

Probably worth pointing out that Haus was "doing" Mark Millar in that original post (no, readers, not like THAT...etc)

Please, loves. I'm sure that whoever was using that suit is embarrassed enough about their ghastly faux pas without having it brought up again - too embarrassed to come back and explain him or herself, certainly. It would be kinder just to let it go.

So we were chatting about this over on Millarworld and chatting about the origin of Danny the Street as told by Grant when Brendan McCarthy comes along, gives us the real origin story and of the Danny story that was meant to be in his Solo book. Weep Barbelith a great joy was stolen from the world.
(All the info is on the second page.)
