Hi all can anyone help, I am attempting to write an essay on the cafe scene from The Godfather and the stairwell kids party scene from the Sixth Sense. Can anyone point out similarity between the two scenes?.
Mise en scene, camerawork, costume, the editing, sound.
All the usual stuff.

Thanks in advance

*Sigh*

Why are you writing an essay comparing the two scenes? Was there something that made you put the two together?

I don't supposed you've considered actually watching the two scenes and comparing the elements yourself, Rosslyntemplar? In my day, that was what we used to do. Nowadays I guess the kids all just long onto these new-fangled internet forums and get people to write their essays for them. It might aid your cause to offer payment.

Matt, no I did not decide to compare the scenes the University requested it.

And Disco, we are no longer in `your day` thank heaven.
Did you cycle up hill with a loaf of bread, humming contently to the Hovis tune?.

You seem to feel that comparing and analysing scenes from two films is a real chore, something like the ironing that you'd like to pass on to other saps, rather than something interesting and enjoyable. Maybe you shouldn't be doing a film degree at all.

Getting other people to do your work is still counted as plagiarism, you know.

Do you honestly have no idea why people might find this thread exasperating?

Stop being so fucking lazy and go watch the fucking scenes, it'll take you all of ten minutes.

Just forget I asked, nobody was suggesting for the work to be done for me, I was hoping to get the opinions and input from other, not such a fucking crime I would have thought.

Rudeness and ignorance was never requested.

Not requested, but definitely deserved.

Can we lock this now, then?

Rudeness and ignorance was never requested.

Funny, because you introduced the latter by phrasing your enquiry as though you expected other people to do your work for you rather than as a dialogue you were interested in having, and the former in your response to Misted Disco.
