I'm having a launch at David's Comics in Brighton on Sat 28th Oct, so any B'ton lithers please pop in and say hi.

I'm really pleased with this - it's got some stunning work from all contributors, looks swanky as all hell, and basically is the best thing I've ever produced. i hope you dig it.

Thanks for your time Barbelith.

Sadly I'm a computer baboon, and haven't. Got tons of stuff on disk all over the shop - I should put it up in Creation somewhere I suppose.

Is there a way for the non-Brighton 'lithers to pick up this gem? That art is gorgeous, I'd very much like toget myself a copy.

12:52 / 24.10.06
Why of course John. PM me and I'll sort you out a copy.
There's loads of other lovely art. I need to put some more up.

I'll also be whacking copies in select outlets across London. Any recommendations beyond the obvious (ie. Gosh!) would be welcome.

Dan Locke's page is really frigging scary.

Unless you're being arch, I agree. I think it has a certain Edward Gorey quality.

I've said it before, and I've said that I've said it before before, but Mac's stuff is absolutely brilliant and well, well worth checking out; Nelson, of course, we all know, and Fraely has a particular way with the nasty that should suit this comp down to the ground. Not so sure about Dan's stuff but from the looks of this preview I'd have to agree that there are shades of Gorey, and that can only be a very good thing. Danny Noble's stuff is less immediately attractive but boy that girl can spin a yarn - love, love, love her comics.

Oh, and Gumbitch is pure finger-sex, but we all know that.

Mac, are you planning on posting this one to hungry customers around the globe? I seem to remember you doing that before.

No, I think it's really scary. I actually wouldn't want to look at it and think about it too much. It is a powerful, haunting image. So I mean, it does its job very well.

Dude, if you’re interested in getting this further than London, then I think Page 45 would probably be more than happy to stock this, they've always seemed to be really, really super-keen on small press and indie publishing-type stuff.

Yeah, I'd second that as well! Page 45 stocked my comic a few years back and they were always very nice and encouraging and just generally all around pleasant. I'm sure they will take your comic in a flash, just give them a ring.

I'll have to be put down for a copy of this too! I've read Nelson's strip and I can safely say it is ace.

As for review sites - off the top of my head, places like Bugpowder, Silverbulletcomicbooks, Comic Book Galaxy should all be happy to give you a review. I'd have a tootle around all the sites you can think of just to try and gauge whether you think it'd be worthwhile to be reviewed by them in particular.

I thought I knew more, actually... it probably wouldn't do any harm to send some along to magazines or papers you know of that review comics. Well, with whatever you have to spare at least. Thinking locally, Plan B is probably a good bet if you haven't thought of that already (cos I'm faaaairly certain you'll know somebody who works there). Page 45 will probably give you a little write up in their mailing list if (when) they stock you.

Cheers man. All good advice. I already plan to send it to various magazines - I believe the Megazine reviews small press now! - and things like Plan B, Fortean Times etc...

Bought it, liked it, especially Macready's host and Danielle's Pit story. They changed the price from £6.66 though which is a shame.

Sometimes my favourite contributions are the ones which quietly debunk the strange hideousness elsewhere, sometimes it's the other way around. Delighted to have been part of it.

The Fraely/Nuneaton/Leopard performance at the launch night provided the perfect soundtrack for reading it, didn't you think?
