I saw them first in Madison, Wisconsin for free, completely by accident going out for a beer with a friend. He was unimpressed, I now own several short CDs and keep trying to introduce my friends. This sunday they will be playing here in Syracuse with a couple of local bands I'm also quite fond of...
Anyway: any other fans? any similar bands you'd care to recommend? (The only one I can think of is Harbor, one of the two local bands playing this sunday...)
To me they're almost like the GSYBE of metal or something...why aren't there more instrumental metal bands (are there and I'm dumb)? Is there a name for this kind of music (heavy, slow, one friend uses the word "sludgy")? |
