Things were a bit weird for a bit there. But now it looks like I'm back on course for a fairly contented life. Moved to Reykjavik and am working for a software house doing customer support. Brilliant company, excellent city and lots of adventure to be looking forward to.

So what have I missed?

Hey Grey Area! I'd wondered what had happened to your good self.

Me? Well, we still haven't got hold of the technology to record the music properly (e.g the ones I sent you); but we're still going to use your mock-up CD artwork, when the time comes, and if you still don't mind (of course). Plus, I've written about twenty new tunes since then; but not enough fiction (yet).

As for this place and everyone else around here; I'll let them fill you in...

Welcome back!

So how is Iceland?

Is it all like, you know, icy and stuff?

Moved to Reykjavik? You lucky, lucky bastard. I've been dreaming of that very thing for years.

Have you seen any butterflies?

Let me know if you see butterflies.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. Reykjavik is...hmm...well it's better than the place I was in. There's a very relaxed mood to the place, which is expressed everything from the fact that parents leave their strollers on the street when they pop into a shop to the lack of grey steel shutters in front of the shop windows at night. American and European cultures meet here, which means there's an odd mixture of foodstuffs in the shops. Overall life seems 'better' in an undefinable, can't-quite-put-my-finger-on-it sort of way. I know that when I walk to and from work I have a quiet smile on my face. Haven't come across much that really annoys me (although £5-6 for a pint of beer has the potential).

Grant: Haven't seen any butterflies yet, but I'll keep an eye open for some. Why the question though?

Liger Null: It's surprisingly warm and sunny at the moment. At night there's a bit of a bite in the wind but apart from that it's remarkably pleasant. My Icelandic colleagues assure me that many months of rain, ice and darkness await me though.

Stoatie: I wasn't dreaming of moving to Reykjavik (this whole thing was a bit of a surprise really) but now that I'm here I wonder why I didn't. It's the bee's knees.
