I'm trying to learn japnese on the way to university in the morning. This would be alot easier if i could cut the audio track up into chapters.

So, does anyone know of a computer program that would be able to do this?

Thanks.

By "chapters" do you mean "tracks on a CD?"

Personally, I like Goldwave, but it's not as free as Audacity (which I've never used, but I believe several people on the boards have).

(a) use some freeware like CDEX to import the 'trackless' CD as a big WAVE file.

(b) load the big WAV file into Audacity.

(b-2) if you're using Goldwave, you can skip a step and just use Tools/CD Reader.

(c) use Goldwave/Audacity to select sections, cut and paste into new files, and save each file as its own WAV file or MP3, numbering them sequentially.

(d) use a CD burning program (like CD Burner XP Pro) to create a CD from all those files.

That sounds like a lot of hassle, but it's easier than it looks.
