The USB batteries are listed as having 1300 mAh capacity - how long that'll actually last depends on what you use them for, but it compares reasonably well with standard AAs. Well, old NiCd ones have around 700 mAh, new NiMH ones go up to 2000 and more.
And the five-hour charge time is not entirely unreasonable, as the USB spec limits the amount of current you can draw out of one port. And from a quick estimate, the battery would be absorbing only about a third more energy than its rated capacity, which is not too bad. And my wall-plug charger takes about eight hours for AA batteries anyway. |
