Could you back up your assertion of Conservatism with a bit more explanation please? I'm not being confrontational but I don't really understand where this is coming from, other than M&W being two nice, obviously middle-class boys.

For me, yes, for others who agree with right-wing politics, no. It's description of the political outlook and messages behind the comedy which I hadn't noticed before.

The thing is I don't agree with Conservative politics but I don't think it's bad thing if other people do, and I don't think it's automatically a bad thing if it gets on TV.

It just struck me funny to see it lined up in your post with discussion of how the visual element wasn't working, they were re-using old gags - all comments on the technical elements of comedy - and then suddenly an expression of distaste that they held different opinions of you. It seemed to me to be equivalent to saying "The script was lousy, the acting was bad, and I noticed one of them was holding a CD by Coldplay, who I hate."

OK, perhaps Tory was lazy shorthand, and it was probably in the wrong place in the post. It was more an almost agreement with the racism charge.
In placing it in the Tory camp, specifically about a sketch in which you can almost hear them saying "how can we do a sketch about political correctness gone mad?", I think what I meant was that there seems to me to be a bit of an alignment toward (hence "slant") the unexamined near-racism of the people who think the Mail or Express are just talking common sense. I felt that the show seems to be leaning to conservatism (big and small cs) in places when the radio show didn't give me the same feeling.
For me "a bit Tory" is negative but not a slur. It's a step back from saying it was racist or sexist or promoting class hatred (see Little Britain, Series 3). I understand why people are conservative, I just think they're wrong, and it's very seldom conservative comedy hits the right notes for me. So Tory is bit like "Hmmm.. not sure about the politics on that one".
Nice middle-class white boys (like myself) often have to work hard to avoid perpetuating the innate conservatism of the media, and when I see some who I previously admired maybe failing to do so, it comes as a bit of a disappointment.

Can someone hold my shovel? I'm getting a bit tired digging this hole.
So, yes, perhaps not the best-expressed post, but I maintain it wasn't dismissive.

Though Gyles Brandwith being on is certainly a hint that they might have right-wing leanings. Though saying that I'm still finding it is better than Little Britain.

Do have to say, Lady, that that sketch was pretty funny. Just for the punchline, like you say. I'm eating some of my words up thread as tonights show i found pretty chucklesome. Still hate the snooker guys and the tramps though.
