Science experiments. Snark. And just plain old awesome.
I know people here in the States are familiar with the work that Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman do on MythBusters and I am really surprised that I haven't been able to find a thread on this.
Basically they take an urban myth--ex., can a car stereo be so powerful that it could shatter windows--and play with it, seeing if they can prove it's feasible or it's just what it is, a myth. The tools they have at their disposal are fun and watching them go through the scientific possibilities is even better.
Oh, and Tory Belleci, their assistant (he works in special effects for movies), needs to be my new boyfriend. |
